My Go-To Green Smoothie Recipe
Fancy a nourishing thick and creamy pick-me-up, as let’s face it, we could all do with an energising quick hit. If you’ve been overdoing it of late, give yourself permission to indulge in a few child pose and treat your beautiful body to a rich and dreamy bowl of goodness sans the sugar and guilt.
I love eating a thick energising and refreshing green smoothie with a spoon for a snack anytime of the day for a quick little pick-me-up. So super quick and easy to make, are brimming with goodness, taste like ice-cream and there are no limitations to the ingredients or the toppings (I like to add anything crunchy on top). Basically anything goes which suits me down to a tee.
This green goodness is full of Vitamin K, Vitamin C, Folate, Potassium, Vitamin E so give it a whirl.
GREEN GOODNESS REIPCE
1 tablespoon pea protein powder (optional)
1/2 cup oats
½ frozen banana
1 teaspoon maca powder
1 large handful of spinach
½ avocado
1 tablespoon crunchy peanut butter
1 cup coconut water / almond milk
1 cup water
TOPPINGS:Almonds or cashew nuts
Chia seeds or sunflower seeds
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Generous splash of maple syrup
